Hi, I’m Michael
Real leadership is revealed under pressure.
After more than 20 years in law enforcement and federal leadership roles, I experienced that truth firsthand. Some days I led with confidence. Other days fear showed up first. Those moments taught me that pressure itself is not the problem. How leaders respond to it determines clarity, trust, and performance.
My journey includes homelessness, family mental health struggles, divorce, and the cumulative toll of frontline service. Those experiences shaped my belief that adversity can either erode clarity or fuel growth.
That understanding led me to develop the Failure F.U.E.L.S. Growth framework. It is a battle tested leadership model built from lived experience and research that helps leaders turn fear into focus, pressure into performance, and setbacks into long term resilience.
Today, I bring that work to organizations seeking leadership and resilience keynotes that move beyond inspiration and create practical, lasting impact.
